① Generally, the needle used for tumor puncture is small (usually 0.4-0.7 mm), and the trauma to normal tissues and tumors is also very small.

②The examination time of puncture is very short, and once the diagnosis result appears, the doctor will take corresponding treatment measures immediately. Cancer cells don't have time to metastasize.

③ The puncture site is generally far away from larger blood vessels, and generally does not cause cancer cells to enter the blood.

According to the "Chinese Expert Consensus on Puncture Biopsy of Thoracic Tumors" released in 2018, puncture can reduce the probability of misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis, and plays an important role in subsequent treatment. For example, lung cancer, because the imaging test results are only shadows and small nodules, if you want to make a further accurate diagnosis, you must get a sample of live tumor cells.

Therefore, puncture is very important in the diagnosis and treatment of tumors. Don't listen to rumors and resist needle biopsy.
